Neuro-Linguistic-Programming (NLP) - And you thought that comedians were thick as shit?! There is a lot of science in making people laugh too. NLP is a behavioural model and set of explicit skills and techniques - i.e. pre-determined, sequenced, memorised. A comedian can use a repeated sequence (words or actions) so that when the audience expects the same thing to happen again, the comedian does something different - this can be subtle or obvious. However, by lulling the audience into a pattern and then breaking it... you got it, out comes a laugh
